We Only Offer Interchange Pricing
Interchange pricing is the cost every merchant pays for accepting credit cards. When a merchant takes a payment, a percentage and a set fee will be taken from the total of each transaction. These fees are usually set at 1-3% and a fee per transaction of around 20 cents, but this can vary depending on the nature of the transaction. Each credit card company has its own fees and these are changed regularly in April and October every year.
We believe that if your company needs tech support you should be able to easily access it. That is why we have a dedicated in-house team ready to answer any queries as they arise and to guide you step by step through every stage.
The costs involved in accepting credit cards can be prohibitive to small businesses, but the ability to accept card payments is crucial too. We feel we have got the balance right by not charging a minimum monthly fee. When combined with our competitive rates, our payment processing fees are affordable for both smaller and larger scale businesses.
Some payment processors hold on to your money for 72 hours or more, but at SoCal, we’re different. We know how important cashflow is to your business so we don’t expect our customers don’t have to wait for their money. Funds are distributed into your bank account the next day, making it easier to cover your business expenses, reinvest, and to optimize the smooth running of your enterprise.
For some companies, annual fees are path of the course. However, we want to make accepting payments as cost effective as possible for our merchants. Meaning, our interchange pricing program contains no annual fees or hidden charges!

PCI Compliance is a set of security values put in place by the payments industry to ensure that merchants are using the correct protocol when accepting payments. SoCal Merchant Services will help each merchant through the PCI compliance process to ensure that their buciness is protected.
Like cancellation fees, set contract terms can be limiting to a business and they don’t allow merchants the freedom to move on. Our aim is to give 100% satisfaction. However, if you should choose to find another payments provider, we won’t tie you to a lengthy contract that holds you back.
Since October 2016, EMV compliance has become mandated equipment. Those who are using anything less are subject to penalties and additional fees. Here at SoCal Merchant Services, we’re ahead of the curve. We keep current with any required updates so that our merchants don’t have to. We only offer EMV compliant equipment - nothing less.
Merchants find cancellation fees restrictive, and sometimes the terms around them lack transparency. We understand the burden these cancellation fees place on merchants, which is why we don’t apply them. SoCal prides itself on its upfront, transparent interchange pricing policy, and while we hope you’ll stay with us, we don’t charge are customers merchant fees should they wish to leave.
